口角から舌が見えていますか？
赤ちゃんが上手に吸啜していたら、口角から舌が見えます。
あ、いや、そのままでは多分見えませんが赤ちゃんの口角に指を置き、クイッと耳方向に1.5cmくらい引くと、見える筈です。
口裂け女のようにグイグイと大幅に引かないと見えなかったり、引けども見えずの場合、恐らく乳頭乳輪の効果的な巻き付け自体が出来ていないので、直母をしても量にならなかったり、乳頭に傷が付いて痛かったりだと思われます。
このような状態が続くと、おっぱいをあげることに対し挫けそうになりますが、「まだちょっと浅いね。」「もう1回やってみてね。」と、赤ちゃんにダメ出ししながら、咥え直しを繰り返すことで、或る日偶然かも知れませんが、上手な吸啜が出来るようになってきます。
偶然であったとしても、「もう1回今の調子ね♪」と励ましながら授乳すると、またひょっこり出来ることがあります。
やがて、何回も何回も成功体験を繰り返すことで、赤ちゃんは上手な吸啜の確実性を高めて行くのです。
そして、或る日いつかは分かりませんが、1回でスイッチが入って、パクっと上手な吸啜が出来るようになられるかと思います。
何事も日々の精進です。（笑）

完母でなんとか9ヶ月まできましたが、産院で我が子は「下手っぴちゃん」だと言われたことや実際に亀裂･乳腺炎･乳口炎にもなったこともあり、おっぱいに自信が持てないでいます。
先日2、3日の間やたらとおっぱいを噛み、ほとんど哺乳してくれなくなりました。そうなるともうパニック！（幸い再び飲みはじめました。一体何だったのでしょうか。）
しかし、先ほどの授乳ではしっかり舌が見えていました。我が子も少しは上達しているんだと嬉しくなりました。
これからも母乳育児を続けます。
